Clouds careening beyond an auburn sun
Angled above a cascading sea withdrawn in the distance
Remoteness isn't binary
It's a calling of opposite forces
Solace in brevity
The arctic white backdropped against total darkness
Dovetailing and uniting into
An awakening
The first breath after a coma
There is an obscurity in impurity
Salt of the earth, the calamity precedes the glory
A hummingbirds wings in perpetuity
The shrill of the eagle, levers and pulleys fastening
Beyond the dawn, arms out stretched
Calling you in but unable to move

Eyes open up as you scan the deep
Prisms abound, yet still far out of reach
Ankles aloft as the ocean slides in view
Then away

Frozen alive in a static state
Scales crumble and bonds start to break
Dismantle the myth and unfasten the seeds
That you somehow lost before you even began

Hey! I’m alive, its benign, I’m assured
That when things actualize
That they can’t go back and rewind the tape

A deluded rationale

Capsized in sea from a fallen course
Permeates through collective remorse
Once I thought that pious things could explain

Calling collect from a barren street
Semi-aware on diazepine
Skeletal mass of a withered frame
That's been hollowed out and left on the dole
